How MoistureFix collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Who we are
MoistureFix ("we", "us") is a damp, mould and water damage specialist based in Feltham, West London. We are responsible for the personal information you share with us. Questions about this policy can be sent to info@moisturefix.co.uk or by phone on 07368 932 660.
What we collect
When you contact us through the enquiry form, by phone, by email or on WhatsApp, we collect the details you give us: usually your name, phone number, email address, postcode or area, a description of the problem and any photos you send. If we carry out work for you, we also keep job records such as the property address, readings, photos and reports.
How we use it
We use your information to reply to your enquiry, give you a quote, arrange and carry out work, prepare reports (including reports you choose to share with your insurer) and keep proper business records. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and on the need to perform a contract with you once you book work. We never sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Photos of our work
We may use photos from jobs on our website and social media to show our work. We never include anything that identifies you or your address, and we'll remove any photo on request.
Who we share it with
We only share your information where needed to provide our service: the services that deliver our website enquiries by email (FormSubmit) and host our website, WhatsApp (Meta) if you contact us that way, partner plumbers if you ask us to arrange a repair quote, and your insurer or loss adjuster if you ask us to send them a report.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Job records and reports are kept for up to 6 years for warranty, insurance and accounting purposes.
Cookies
Our website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, so there is no cookie banner. Our fonts are provided by Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers to load them. Google receives your IP address but does not set cookies.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Just email info@moisturefix.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
