Mould assessment & removal

Mould starts small and problems grow big. We find out why it's growing, remove it safely and help make sure it doesn't come back.

Overview

What we do

Bleach and mould sprays only treat what you can see. If the moisture feeding the mould isn't dealt with, it comes back, usually within weeks.

We start by finding the cause, whether that's condensation, a leak, penetrating damp or poor ventilation. Then we remove and treat the mould properly and give you practical advice to stop it returning.

What's included

  • Inspection of visible and hidden mould growth
  • Moisture and humidity readings to find the cause
  • Condensation, ventilation and leak checks
  • Safe removal and treatment of affected surfaces
  • Removal of badly affected materials where needed
  • Practical advice to stop it coming back
In detail

Two stages, one result

Mould assessment

We identify how far the mould has spread and take moisture and humidity readings to find out what's feeding it. You'll get a clear explanation and the right treatment plan.

Mould removal & treatment

Affected areas are cleaned and treated to help prevent regrowth. Where mould has got into plasterboard, sealant or other porous materials, we remove what's necessary rather than covering it up.

Before & after

Painting over a stain or spraying mould only hides the problem. We deal with the moisture behind it, so the result lasts.

FAQs

Mould Removal questions

Can't I just bleach the mould?

Bleach and sprays can lighten the surface, but they don't fix the moisture that's feeding the mould, so it usually comes back. We find the cause first, then treat the affected areas properly.

Is black mould dangerous?

Mould can aggravate allergies, asthma and other breathing problems, especially for children, older people and anyone with a health condition. If you're worried, get it assessed and speak to your GP about any symptoms.

I rent my home. Can you help?

Yes. We work with tenants, landlords and letting agents. Our assessment explains the cause of the mould, which helps everyone agree on the right fix.

Will mould come back after treatment?

Mould returns when the moisture causing it isn't dealt with. That's why we always find the cause first, then treat the mould and advise you on preventing it.
